About Us

Located 12 miles east of Gallup, New Mexico, Iyanbito Chapter was established in the early to mid-1900s during the Navajo Nation’s development of chapter governments. Iyanbito Chapter was created to support local decision-making and strengthen communication with tribal leadership. Today, it continues to serve as a hub for community services, resources, and governance, while upholding the values of self-determination and community involvement.
